Research Associate


Rafid Anjum is a Research Associate at Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID), where he brings solid experience from the research and consulting sector, with a strong focus on data-driven analysis and development policy. Prior to joining RAPID, Rafid served as a Business Analyst at Policy Exchange Bangladesh. In this role, he played an instrumental part in shaping various development initiatives and bilateral trade project documents, leveraging analytical tools and methodologies to support impactful decision-making. Rafid holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from East West University, Bangladesh, where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a Research Assistant on a USAID-funded project implemented by Winrock International, gaining early exposure to field-level research and international development work. He also served as a Teaching Assistant, where he conducted tutorial sessions, provided academic guidance to students, and supported administrative functions to foster an effective academic environment. Rafid is proficient in a range of data analysis and visualization tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau, which he utilizes to present complex data in clear, accessible formats. At RAPID, Rafid brings a strong foundation in economic research, analytical rigor, and a commitment to evidence-based policy development. His experience in managing development-focused projects and translating data into actionable insights will support RAPID’s mission to inform policy through research excellence.
