Jurana Aziz

Jurana Aziz is an Assistant Professor at the University of Dhaka. She did her Bachelors and Masters in Applied Linguistics and ELT from the Department of English at the University of Dhaka. She had an excellent academic background all through her life. She received many awards such as the Prime Minister’s Education Award, Deans’ Merit Scholarship, and English Department Alumni Award from the same university. She stood first in her SSC and HSC exams respectively in the years 1998 and 2000. Her research interests include second language acquisition, critical literacy, teacher education, and digital literacy.

She was the co-author of Marginalized Poor People’s Educational Challenges – a study commissioned by NETZ Bangladesh in collaboration with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. She also collaborates research with the University of Queensland, Australia in a project on digital literacy.  She had several articles and research publications published in nationally and internationally recognized journals. She wants to contribute for the development of the marginalized students of Bangladesh.
