Asaf Ibne Salim is an early-career researcher with a strong foundation in empirical analysis, quantitative methods, and applied policy research. He holds both a Bachelor and Master of Social Science in Economics from East West University, Bangladesh, where he graduated with distinction and achieved a perfect CGPA of 4.00 in his master’s programme. His academic training has concentrated on applied econometrics, empirical microeconomics, and project evaluation.
He is currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID), where he works at the intersection of research and data, focusing on literature synthesis, data analysis, visualisation, and the development of policy-oriented narratives. His work contributes to major studies undertaken for institutions such as Bangladesh Bank, the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Asaf has co-authored publications in international peer-reviewed journals and national media outlets, engaging with themes related to economic growth, labour markets, and the business environment in Bangladesh.
