
Jillur Rahman

Jillur Rahman is a Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at the University of Dhaka. He did his Bachelors and Masters in Economics from Dhaka University with excellent academic result. He has been working extensively on employment, labour migration and remittances, international trade and social safety nets. Over the past few years, he worked with IOM, ILO, UNDP, UNICEF, Commonwealth, RTI International, Asia Foundation and others.
Recently, he co-authored a UNDP-commissioned study on Mid-term implementation review of the National Social Security Strategy (NSSS); an UNDP commissioned study on the Rohingya refugee crisis in analysing the impact on the host community: a Commonwealth Secretariat study on LDC graduation and its implication on RMG exports; an IOM study on Labour Market Information System (LMIS) in Bangladesh; and a Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) project on Trade and Investment.
