Ayasha Siddika is a recent Economics graduate from North South University with a passion for investigating how data, decisions, and economic systems influence real lives. As a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics, she conducted a qualitative and quantitative case study on the ride-sharing economy, combining field data and existing literature to investigate income creation, market structure, and larger dynamics within the informal labor sector. As a Teaching Assistant, she supported students in hard economics courses, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Development Economics, and International Trade, helping them develop their understanding of quantitative tools and core economic theory. Her research interests include Development Economics, Labor Economics, Applied Econometrics, Environmental Economics, International Trade, Behavioral Economics, and Health Economics. She has contributed to research initiatives on pay inequality, digital transformation, environmental challenges, and informal labor markets, utilizing rigorous analysis to provide significant findings.
