Lamisa Ahsan is an aspiring financial policymaker whose research interests are focused on financial economics, developing capital markets in a developing economy, and ESG compliances. Before her current tenure at RAPID, she worked at the Investment Banking division at HSBC’s Markets and Securities Services Department, where she gained foundational experience in financial analysis and market intelligence. Prior to that, as a Summer Intern in the Financial Stability Department of the Bangladesh Bank, she contributed to the National Financial Stability Report 2023 and gained insights into financial stability mapping and systemic risk assessment. Lamisa had worked at RAPID as a Research Intern in 2023 where she worked on the IGC project “Assessing the Impact of Indirect Taxation on Poverty and Inequality: A Pseudo-Panel Data Analysis on Bangladesh and Global Insights from Cross-Country Panel. During her undergraduate years, She also worked as a Marketing Executive at 10 Minutes School. Lamisa had worked as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations, such as Ashia Foundation, Kaan Pete Roi and Pashe Achi Initiative.
Lamisa holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Dhaka’s Department of Economics in 2024.
